Rating : - good bike for the price
i write this review because i feel the one star reviews are unfair. most of the complaints on here are half truths and not understanding. first of all, there is not much more the 1200$elctric bikes can do than this one.
electric bikes are not going to take you up large hills, futhermore these bikes in my opinion were not designed to be workhorses. i have rode an older model buy currie on a mongoose frame, i have rode it 4-7 times a week for about 2 years. for me its perfect, i live in new orleans, the streets are flat, and rarely do i have to travel more than 5 miles. so if you live in a bike friendly city, this is a great time to get this bike.. 2 months ago this bike was availible from many dealers, price 379-429$ and you had to pay around 100$extra for shipping, and if you had a problem w the bike, you had to deal with currie, the seller stated that up front, once you order the bike like from target, if something was wrong with it when you recieved it, it was completely your responsibility
to contact currie. this happened with the second bike i ordered from target, and it was very frustrating dealing currie. thats the only legite complaint i hae read about this bike(read the reviews for the wemons and the comfort for more reviews cause its the same battery and motor)
but with amazon, if you have the time to deal with a real possibility of returnin it for another, you chance of getting a solid bike is solid

also this is the last of the 08 bikes,and when they are gone the 09 will be more expensive, and probaly not sold by amazon, i know this is a long review, but it is intended for people trying to get the best for their money, and with the back of amazon, if you need a bike i just dont see how could go wrong for 225. this bike says for 13 and up, and let me say, if this had been an option15 years ago i would have loved it even more, but, parents, this is a motorized vehicle, and i do not recommend just sending your kids out on it, this is a nice bike to teach young people responsiblity, its kinda like a pet, you have to power it each time you use it to save the battery, and most of all you HAVE TO BE CAREFUL, the throttle can get you in trouble when you start having fun instead of just riding. helmets are a must for young riders, a good helmet.
